But, after I add the LUN on a ESXi host, cannot add the LUN in second ESXi host.
What should I do?

In VRO 7.4 plugin, search behaviour is not clear. Please clarify.
When a VM name is provided in the input text box of a workflow, it loads all the VM names in the dropdown instead of loading only the relevant VM names as per the input name (query parameter) provided. It would be better if anyone shares like when these methods will be invoked and in which order. Any link/documentation about this is also well and good.
Thanks,
Hi All,
Im trying to execute a workflow that create an NSX IP set. Below is the progress of what we have tried.
vRO version is 7.0.1
vCenter - 6.0
1. Added NSX Manager as RestHost
While executing the worflow we are getting Certificate error, unable to resolve. We came across an Technical article vMware that suggest to install HTTP Cert certificate issue.
Technical Preview version of VMware vRealize Orchestrator HTTP-REST Plug-In
Here we have installed new version HTTP Rest Plugin (4.0) But the error still persists. Can someone help me to address this please??

Have a pool of Windows 10 systems that a Persistentdisk is assigned to. Everything is being diverted cleanly. Problem is only saved in downloads, or documents executable files (*. exe, *. msi) even *. pdf and would like to copy them where else, network drive, temp on C: or documents in downloads you get a message:
File access Denied:
"You must specify administrator permissions to copy the file. "
If you take this file and snow it and füght it again, everything is OK.

Hi
I have a 6.2.1 environment. I'm migrating off VSAN to different storage. I've modified the desktop pools to point to the new storage .When I try to recompose existing desktop pools to the new parent image and the new storage nothing happens. The task just sits there and does nothing.
Looks like the only way to resolve this is to delete the desktop pool and create a brand new one pointing to the storage.
is this by design, because I'm trying to recompose desktops that currently reside on the VSAN to new storage?
I was hoping to avoid deleting and recreating the pools. I have a number of floating and dedicated desktop pools.
Thanks for any feedback
Whenever we try to connect to a vGPU enabled pool with two monitors the Zero Client (Wyse P25) crashes and reboots. If the pool is set to refresh then you will never be able to login.
I set the pool to not refresh and I'm able to login. The issue is specific to two monitors if i use only one the connection works properly on the first attempt.

Hi,
I have Windows 10 with the latest updates 1803 on my computer. I have installed VMWARE Workstation to run some virtual test machines Windows Server 2016, 2012 r2 for which I have the evaluation version ISO's.
Now when I try to power ON the machines, it gives me an error "VMware Workstation and Device/Credential Guard are not compatible. VMware Workstation can be run after disabling Device/Credential Guard. Please visit http://www.vmware.com/go/turnoff_CG_DG for more details".
I have tried every possible way posted in the tutorial from VMware and Windows. But, unfortunately my problem remains the same.
I tried to use cmd elevated command line bcdedit as well but even after the restart my computer does not ask me for disable device guard/ credentials guard.
Is there anyone who can help me solve this issue.
Let me tell you that prior to this I had Windows 7 on the same machine running VMWARE Workstation 12. I never had any problem.
I have a DELL Precision 6600 32Gig 1TB SSD with Intel(R) Core i7-2720QM 2.20GHz, X64 Processor.
Please help.
Thank you.

Hello!
We use Vmware ESXi 5.0.0,1918656 and Hitachi AMS2100 fot datastores.
On 18.06.2018 one Datastore become Inactive (unmounted).
I found some problems with disk on AMS2100. After replacing failed hard disk, errors gone, and the status of raid and LUN become normal.
But in Vmware datastore still inactive. When i try to maunt, an error occurs.
Device status for this LUN is mounted

How I change time zone in vmware esxi 6.7?
By the graphical interface it only allows to change the date and time
When I change the time via SSH, it returns to the default when I reboot the server
I saw in some forums that one can change the localtime but the esxi 6.7 does not have the folder / usr / share / zoneinfo
Has anyone ever had this problem?

Question :
There is no download for Vcenter Server Appliance at https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/downloads . I am logged in to my Vmware account, but can't find this iso download anywhere.
I need to get a list off all the VMs in a given vSphere infrastructure and to get, for each vm, the number of vCPUs, the number of sockets, the number of cores, the CPU share level and number.
I need to get each value as a variable because I need to format the output according to a standard format.
I was able to create a script to get part of the information I need by copying from various forums and blogs but I am sure I made some mistakes, as for each VM it takes about 60 seconds and it is unusable.
Is there any efficient, optimized sample I can start from?

Clearly this isn't possible using New-DRSRule as the 'KeepTogether' parameter is boolean which only allows for specifying an affinity or anti-affinity rule.
So is it even possible to define an Orchestrated Restart rule via PowerCLI?
If it is possible, how is it done?
In troubleshooting another workflow that takes hours to complete, I created a simple workflow that takes an sdkConnection as an input, and does a getAllVirtualMachines().
VMs is an Array/VC:VirtualMachine here, output to an attribute:
VMs = sdk.getAllVirtualMachines(); System.debug(VMs.length + " VMs found.");
This logs the length of the array in a second or two, but then the VMs attribute remains undefined, with the vco server load average ramping up, and server.log spamming this for seemingly every VM:
2018-06-15 11:36:05.434-0500 [taskExecutor-8] ERROR {} [ObjectUpdateParser] assign disabledMethod -> VirtualMachine::vm-54649 2018-06-15 11:36:05.434-0500 [taskExecutor-8] ERROR {} [ObjectUpdateParser] Ignore error and continue with others updates java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot find managedMethod with name: MountToolsInstallerImage at com.vmware.o11n.plugin.vsphere.pc.ObjectUpdateParser.applyProperyChange(ObjectUpdateParser.java:65) at com.vmware.o11n.plugin.vsphere.pc.ObjectUpdateParser.processObjectUpdate(ObjectUpdateParser.java:112) at com.vmware.o11n.plugin.vsphere.pc.CacheUpdate.processUpdateSet(CacheUpdate.java:110) at com.vmware.o11n.plugin.vsphere.pc.CacheUpdate$UpdateSetHandler.nextUpdateSet(CacheUpdate.java:171) at com.vmware.o11n.plugin.vsphere.pc.CacheUpdate.run(CacheUpdate.java:66) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor.runWorker(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:1142) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:617) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:748)
It eventually threw this in the vco client:
[2018-06-15 10:56:06.041] [D] 2541 VMs found.
[2018-06-15 11:00:28.113] [E] Workflow:Get all virtual machines / Scriptable task (item1) : ch.dunes.model.type.ConvertorException: Unable to convert object, 'Stub: moRef = (ManagedObjectReference: type = VirtualMachine, value = vm-704346, serverGuid = null), binding =https://fqdn.com/sdk' plugin exception reason : convertToResult() --> Finder 'VC:VirtualMachine' : unexpected error 'ch.dunes.model.sdk.SDKFinderException: convertToResult() --> Finder 'VC:VirtualMachine' : unable to invoke read method : 'name''
Is this supposed to work? I think the error in the client is because a VM was deleted mid-way through the run?

@Not sure where I found this script but it is quite amazing! I would like to modify this script to get all of the available metrics and values for each of the $fullname variables. I am new to PowerCLI and the terminology but the output of this script shows all variables, the levels and the definition as it states in the script memos. I need to gather all of the vmhost averages and values. I would love to be able to configure the script to also show the values in %'s / gb / ms etc etc. Please help? I know the output currently generates an error, I am unable to get the values from the fullnames.

Bonjour,
Merci.
Hello,
I've provisioned one tile and now that I'm attempting to run the benchmark, I'm getting some errors.
The first is an SSL handshaking error between the PrimeClient and 18 of the 20 VMs.
The second error I have no idea about.
Does anyone know what I can do to try and fix these? I've also attached the results folder from this run.
So here's the setup:
I use vRA 7.3.1 to build a Windows 10 x64 VM that users can build thru a blueprint. It had RS3 initially and VM Tools 10.2. Users could build just fine. I then upgraded to RS4 and it still builds fine. However when I run the following script (generic info used below for user/pass/server):
Connect-VIServer servername -User username -Password password
$vm = Read-Host "Enter VM name"
$string = 'query user /server:$vm'
Invoke-VMScript -vm $vm -ScriptText $string -ScriptType Powershell -GuestUser 'administrator' -GuestPassword 'password'
And I enter the VM I get the query response I want
vCenterserver.lab 443 VSPHERE.LOCAL\Administrator
Enter VM name: myvm
VM : myvm
ExitCode : 0
ScriptOutput : USERNAME SESSIONNAME ID STATE IDLE TIME LOGON TIME
user rdp-tcp#1 2 Active . 6/4/2018 11:32 AM
The above is on a VM that's running Win 10 RS4 x64 with Tools 10.2.5 that was upgraded via a PowerCLI script.
And that just outputs to the window. Unfortunately I have more than one machine, so I created a batch script below:
Connect-VIServer vCenterserver.lab -User username -Password password
$GetVM = Get-VM -location VRM | sort Name
$obj = foreach ($vm in $GetVM)
{
$string = 'query user /server:$vm'
Invoke-VMScript -vm $vm -ScriptText $string -ScriptType Powershell -GuestUser 'administrator' -GuestPassword 'password' | Out-File VRM.txt -append
}
So the above script I will get a list of machines that only appear to be running Tools 10.2 as the script will continually tell me that the version of tools is out of date on the machines. I get the output in the text file, but what's odd is the machines that have the newer version of tools, there's a line, but it's blank as shown below:
ScriptOutput

I know those machines that are missing, if I query them I'll get a response with the first script mentioned here. Why would an upgraded version of tools appear to break this? Am I missing something? Those machines that are missing did show up before the tools upgrade. I ran a script to update the tools on the machines remotely and it didn't work for all machines, as it appears that I need to have some sort of custom attribute: https://blog.vmpros.nl/2015/05/15/vmware-vix-error-code-21009-during/ .
I have tried uninstalling VM Tools from the machine and reinstalling it, but that made no difference, even when running the script from one of the machines that's affected. Yes I am running Anti-Virus stuff, however on the machines that are working it's running there as well, and all machines should have the same version of the software, so I don't think that's an issue. I have now just taken my test machine and downgraded Tools to 10.2.0, re-ran the batch-script and it detected my machine.
I have also upgraded VM Tools on the template to 10.2.5 and am re-running the blueprint thru vRA to see what happens. It fails to recognize the machine in the batch script. So do I have a problem here with tools 10.2.5? Something else? Please advise. Thanks.
Edit: I should also mention I was originally using PowerCLI 6.5.0 build 4624819. I upgraded to 10.1.0 but I still get the same issue.
Edit 2: I took one of the machines and put VMware Tools 10.2.1 on it and re-ran the batch script. This time it detected the VM in the script.
I am trying to test a setup where I replace the PK, KEK, db, etc, with my own set. I've configured a VM to boot into EFI, and I can get it to boot using the shim.efi that I built (and signed, though secureboot is disabled). I have also enabled the EFI shell so that I can explore a bit. When I 'boot into firmware' the efi menu is very spartan -- There is nowhere where I can see or clear the key vars. Once I boot up (into ubuntu) I can use EFI tools to see that the keys are present with the default Microsoft certs.
How can I clear the EFI keys so that I can boot into setup mode to reinstall my own certs/keys?
Thanks
