We are experiencing very poor VM performance on all our Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 servers. All the VMs are shared from 2 different Netapp NFS volumes on our FAS2050 filer. We have 3 hosts and we've vmotioned each VM across each one to try and find if its a host problem to no avail. We've even shut down all the guests apart from one to rule out CPU / memory related issues. Each host has 40GB RAM and dual quad core xeon 3ghz processors. For example, a Windows 2008 server took 15 minutes to boot and console performance is sluggish and unresponsive.
Can anyone shed any light on why we're getting this issue or help on where to start?
