Hello,
I have installed vCloud director 5.1 and now I am in the process of integrating the authentication using SSO. My vCenter services are all using the self signed certificates.
After I configured the integration with the Inventory service under Administration->System Settings ->Federation I try to log back in and I get an SSL certificate error. Thanks to this article http://vmwarehints.blogspot.ca/2012/10/integrating-vcloud-director-with.html I found that the SSO authentication is handled by the Web client, so when I am redirected I get an error since the SSL certificate is not signed by a CA.
According to VMware documentation the Web client certificate can be replaced by a signed certificate, but can I do that without updating any other certificates in the environment (vCenter server, SSO, etc). I would prefer just to do it for the web client, but I am not sure if later on I would face a similar issue due to the self signed certificates.
Any comment is appreciated,
Juan.
