Testing out VMware for the office, and struggling/getting frustrated with the most critical component for us,as we are in a terrible power grid area. Trying to hook up a basic APC UPS.:
APC Back-UPS BR1500G
1500 VA Tower UPS - 1.50 kVA/865 WTower 0.05 Hour Full Load - 5 x NEMA 5-15R -
American Power Conversion Corp Part No.: 2687462
It has a USB connection... I'm hosting only 1 Windows server at this time, so the unit is more than enough, we just need it to cover for brown outs and shut the server down, no more no less....
Searched the web, found articles, incomplete.., confusing.. incomplete...., complicated.
Why is this such a complicated task?, can anyone please assist in finding a solution (that doesn't involving purchasing a $3000 UPS)
is there a link to a proven solution, I installed the vma appliance.
