Problem installing esxi 4.1 to ga-h77n

Hi everyone,

I just went out and got myself a mini-itx with great hopes of doing some visualization on it. My specs are as follows:

GA-h77n-wifi
Sandisk 120 GB SSD
16 GB Corsair RAM
3TB WD green HDD
No Optical
i5-3570 (non k) CPU

I am having some trouble installing esxi 4.1 on this system. I am a bit of a beginner but but have managed to fix the following problems myself so far:

Creating an ISO with a custom oem.tgz that contains the drivers for the onboard NICs.
Using Unetbootin 494 (older version of syslinux) to create a bootable usb to install from.
Use a kickstart (ks.cfg) script to keep the image recognizable during installation.

My problem now is if i use a non-scripted install i get an error saying "Unable to find the system image to install. This is due to the image not being mounted correctly....etc" or if i use the scripted install it doesn't appear to be possible to choose another usb to install to.

Also in both installation methods esxi isn't recognizing either of my HDD.....

Is there anyone who might be able to point me in the right direction?

p.s. Yes. Yes. I know.... should've checked the HCL but it's a bit late for that now. I am of the optimistic opinion that anything is possible.

p.p.s. On the positive side after a bit of googling i did find an older post (6 months ago) on another site that indicated a successful install of esxi 5.1 on the same motherboard.
