I have (2) Cisco UCS c220 servers running ESXi 5.1 update 1.
- Both are cabled to (2) Cisco 3750 switches in an ether-channel port group.
I am currently seeing some weird behavior. I can ping the ESXi hosts from (2) different windows machines and from the 3750 stack, however, I am unable to ping the same ESXi servers from an Ubuntu machine.
- All clients are on the same vlan.
If I remove one of the ports in the ether-channel port group (physically unplug it) I can ping from both the Ubuntu machine, from the windows machines, and from the switch. However, if I plug the port back in, the Ubuntu machine stops pinging.
This isn't my first rodeo so to speak, but the first time I've experienced this issue, any ideas?
- All computers in question are located on the same 3750 stack.
