how to add ESX as compute node in openstack

hi,

is there a way i can include an ESX as a compute node in openstack environment?

my question specifically is, if there's support of openvswitch in ESX? if not, how does the VM packets get switched if they require local forwarding (VM1 & VM2 in the same vlan on the same ESX).

does openstack directly use VMware API (SDK) to configure the vswitch portion?
