I have been using esxi 4.0 and 4.1 for several years.
Sometimes I'm having problems when opening consoles within the vSphere client. See screenshot attached. The desktop of the vmware machine is only shown for about 50% the rest is hiding.
This doesn't happen when right clicking a vmware and choosing "Open Console". This creates a seperate window and shows the desktop perfectly.
The "solution" to this problem is switching between the TABS on top of the vmware client (Alarms, Console, Permissions) or switching between the consoles of several different vmwares. But it's never sure when the desktop comes back correct again.
Not sure this has anything to do with the server being heavily loaded? (But opening the console using "Open Console" always work, so doesn't seem the problem!)
Anyone have an idea how to fix this??
