Hi,
I'm sort of new in virtualization and although I have some knowledge about network administration, but i'm not really a network administrator, so the question might be dumb
Recently the company I work for (small company) bought a server in wich we are implementing some virtual machine on vmware ESXi.
The server has 2 NICs, and we have about 10 VM's on a NAS that is connect by iSCSI.
I was wondering what is the best practice for the network implementation.
Should I :
- use a single vSwitch with the 2 NICs and connect all VM's on that vSwitch along with management network.
- use 2 vSwitch, each with it's own NIC, 1 for all VM's and other just for de management network (i'm not using vMotion or other "extras")
- distribute 50% of the VM's between the 2 vSwitch along with managment network
- other idea?
Thanks!
