Fixing vCenter installation

Hi all,

I have vCenter 5.0 with SQL express.

I want to migrate it into Standalone SQL. I've read the KB about it and I think I can do it.

However, I prefer to have a clean install of vCenter with all the proper Active Directory and all.

The issue is:

Can I restore only the VM folder structure and VM inventory?

I have concern if I do a full restore of the SQL, it will carry over all the current bad settings of the vCenter (no AD, no FQDN hosts, etc) and it may not work with the AD.

What do you think?
