Using a snapshot on a domain controller

Hi Experts

I have recently installed some Microsoft updates on my domain controller but now it wont boot up correctly even with last known good it just sits for hours with a blue logon screen but it never actually completes the logon .

Before I did the update I took a snapshot of the server ,i would like to revert the server to the snapshot I have of it ,are there any implications in reverting a DC to a snapshot?

I have found some conflicting information on this subject ?
