WSX and ESXi 5 Remote Console not working

Host OS: Windows 8 Enterprise 32bit

WSX Install: Defualt settings

Workstation: v9

I have created a Test Shared VM, which is powered up.

I can connect to the Shared VM via IE10, and can see the Remote Console

When I add my ESXi 5 Host to the WSX Console, I can see a list of all my VM Guests on the Host, but when I try a Remote Console, I get the black screen with the VMware egg timmer thing...

Any ideas where this is going wrong?

I heard somewhere that WSX must be installed on the same host as where the VM's are running, but then why have an option to add remote Hosts???
