Add disk to a VM?

Hi,

I posted this question over in the vCloud forums, but was hoping you guys might be able to help too.

I'm looking for a way to add a disk to a VM during deployment through vFabric. I'm thinking a Task Script will do what I need, using the vCloud API REST interface.

The trouble I have, is that I need to identify the VM that's been deployed, so I know where to run the API command to add the disk...

Does anyone know a way to identify a VM from within the VM (we're running Linux here by the way.)
