I am able to run the quickstartFunctionExecution successfully using two different JVMs but I don't understand two things:
1. We did not start the locators as well as cacheserver in none of the command prompts, is n't it mandatory to do so?
2. Example says "*This is the peer to which FunctionExecutionPeer2 connects for function execution.
* This peer executes the function execution request and returns the results to
* the requesting peer"
But I don't understnad where in Peer1.java we are putting values to function and OR returning the result, what I can see is mere Registring the function that's it. Only in the peer2 we putting the values to region and executing and getting the Result using ResultCollector. Please clarify???
Due to which I have modified the code a bit and try to run the same but facing issues, and they are:
Approach We have opened the same project in two eclipses and modified the peer1.java, peer2.java as attached below and kept the xml file as it is:in quickstart example
When I run the FEPeer1 in one eclipse, it gives me results (while putting data to region), but when I see another eclipse, it gives error:
Questions::
It is giving NPE becuase the size of rc is 2 (inspite of adding 20 records int FEPeer1)?? Second thing is list is having size as 2 but the data is null, why so?
Please help me ASAP, as it will be easy to buy based on my POC
