Console Window Becomes Unresponsive

Hi All,

I am currently in my trial for ESX 4.1 (moving from VMWare Server 2), and I am running into one slight issue that effects 2 of my 5 virtual machines that I can't seem to explain and Google has failed me on. First off, these are all fresh virtual machines built under ESX 4.1 update 1. If I minimize a VM window (Right Click VM -> Open Console) and leave it minimized for a few minutes, it will eventually become unresponsive and I will be unable to un-minimize the Window without clicking the X on the Windows Quick Launch and relaunching the console window from the vSphere client.

The 2 effected virtual machines are a Windows XP 32 Bit Professional SP3 and a Ubuntu server. I also have other Windows XP machines running without this issue.  I have reinstalled the video drivers and VMWare Tools on both of them multiple times.

As far as I know the server is running stable and ESX isn't even using half of the RAM available to the system. I do think this is a client issue though, as the virtual machine keeps running fine in the background, however it is happening on multiple systems, both of which are Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I can have a VM console active on two machines, minimize the window on one and it will become unresponsive, however the 2nd machine can continue interacting fine.

Any thoughts?
