Difinitive disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault

Hi

Running ESXi 5.1 Update 1:

Looking for the definitive way of formatting the disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault  entry in the settings file. The VMWare KB simply says set it to true.  Helpful.  A number of blog posts and questions don't really help, and I simply don't have the time to go through all permutations.

So far I've seen:

disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault=TRUE

disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault="TRUE"

disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault=true

disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault="true"

disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault="True"

Can anyone who has this working please let me know what the entry actually should be?  How difficult is it to put an entry in a KB article to say -

"Add this to /etc/vmware/settings: disk.terminateVMOnPDLDefault=<whatever_format_it_should_be>" ?

For Info:  If one of our SANs fails, I need all VMs on the affected hosts to shut down.  No arguments, etc etc.  Just shut down.  I have the Misc.APD entries set, it worked once on a demo VM, but not on the production ones.  Kind of urgent - customer wants an answer.

Many thanks

(sorry if I sound sharp - bit stressed!)
