I'm seeing CPU soft lockups in most of my VMs. Some of them freeze completely, some of them require rebooting after a freeze, some of them shake it off and keep running. I'd really like to understand what the problem is and try and fix it. It has made me very distrustful of the whole setup. I don't even see the freezes in any kind of performance graph in esx or vsphere - not that I know what to look for - but I see them in nagios - machines stop responding and then start again, mostly the DCs.
I have 3 Dells running about 20 VMs including 2 Domain controllers and a mix of windows and linux systems.
